This weekend we went to Kansas for Cody’s 10 year high school reunion. It’s crazy how fast time goes by! We left early on Friday morning and had to stop at Starbuck’s to get our free birthday drinks! I went with an iced caramel macchiato with pumpkin syrup and Cody with with an iced coffee with pumpkin syrup. Both ventis of course so we got our money’s worth.
We got into town around 4:00 and headed out to a bar to meet up with some of his friends. After that we went to a Mexican restaurant where all of the class was meeting. We got to catch up with all of his friends then headed to the high school football game. Being from Texas, I love high school football so I enjoyed getting to watch a little bit of the game. We left after halftime and went to a couple of bars to hang out some more.
On Saturday we went to Manhattan for the K-State game. We got there in time to eat lunch in Aggieville and have a Nancy which is Old Milwaukee beer mixed with pineapple juice. It sounds super weird but it’s delicious! We tailgated for a little then Cody’s sister and I headed into the game. We had great seats with seat backs but it was toasty! At K-State you can leave at halftime so we went out to the parking lot to tailgate some more then went back into the game for the third quarter. K-State won so that always makes for a great Saturday.
On Sunday we saw Cody’s grandparents and picked up a grill that his grandpa doesn’t use much. We don’t have a grill so Cody’s excited to start cooking out. We made the trek back to Texas and got back in time to head to the grocery store and cook dinner. The weekend went by fast but it was a good one!
