Here’s a quick recap of my weekend! On Friday I spent some time on the Target website after work looking at rugs. I’m really ready to have a rug in the living room and since we have some gift cards leftover from the wedding to Target, I thought that would be a good place to start. I took screenshots of the ones I liked so I could go look in store the next day. After that I went to the gym for a little while and watched some Gossip Girl on the elliptical. That night we didn’t do a whole lot except watch our typical Friday night Dateline. This one was over the Menendez brothers. It wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be but it was still interesting.
On Saturday morning I went and got my oil changed first thing in the morning. After that I got ready and went to a friend’s engagement brunch. It was fun visiting with my grad school friends and catching up with them. The best part of the party was the bacon on a stick 🙂 After that I went to Dallas to run some errands. I’ve had my eyes on some white Adidas for a while so I bought them.
We went to church that night and then went to Target to pick up some stuff. I looked at the rugs there and got a better idea of what I was looking for. There are so many styles and colors so it’s hard to choose what I want! We went to Snuffer’s for dinner that night. We split some cheese fries and a burger and watched a little bit of the A&M game.
Sunday I had plans to get up and get some work done and clean around the house but my body had other plans because I slept until 10:00! I went to bed at 10:00 so I must have been super exhausted! Last week was pretty busy and stressful with work so I think my body just needed to rest. I was able to clean the house before we went to our friend’s one year old’s birthday party. It was a bear/forest theme and he was wearing a plaid shirt and suspenders which was super cute. We visited with everyone for a while then left to get to the grocery store.
I made chicken tamale pie because it is super delicious and easy for dinner. I’m so excited that Thanksgiving is coming up! It’s one of my favorite holidays so I’m looking forward to getting out of the city and spending some time with my family 🙂
